He received his BFA from Clemson University in 2008 and his MFA in Studio Art from the University of South Carolina in 2011. Since 2013, Chris has been an Associate Professor of Art/Director of the Fine Art Program at Andrew College in Cuthbert, GA.
In 2019, Chris Johnson was awarded the Governor’s Award for the Art and Humanities from Governor Brian Kemp for his efforts to revitalize communities through large-scale public art murals. Chris has over fifty murals throughout the Southeast and is collaborating with more communities to help create public art throughout the region.
Mr. Johnson also painted the Puddle Jumpers bus mural in the hallway! He is a mega talent. He is a Puddle Jumper! The Johnson Family have been part of the Puddle Jumpers Family since 2017. His children are Graham and Keller. They share their dad’s talent. Chris is married to Mrs. Natalie, who during the summer months comes to Puddle Jumpers and reads to the children. We are immensely proud to have them as part of the PJ Family!
